Urgent call for action!!!
Friends and comrades, join us for a protest this Wednesday 5.30-7pm at the British Embassy - Unter Den Linden/ Wilhelmstr - to demand that the British Foreign Office act to free Alaa Abd el-Fattah. Alaa Abd el-Fattah is arguably the most high-profile pro-democracy activist in Egypt, rising to international prominence during the revolution of 2011. He has been imprisoned since the coup d'état of 2013 for all but a few months. He is on hunger strike and in need of international assistance. Bring signs and banners. Alaa's sister Sanaa Seif will be also joining us.
